Lo1: The geography of Egypt was mostly desert with fertile area around the Nile Delta it had access to the Nile river which allowed easy access to the Mediterranean sea and the Red sea this. This was important because it allowed easy flow of goods between Asia, Europe, and Africa. 
Lo2: The role of the king was one striking difference between Egypt and Mesopotamia. In Mesopotamia, kings were considered to be representatives of the gods. To the Egyptians, kings were gods. The Egyptian god-kings, were thought to be almost as splendid and powerful as the gods of the heavens.
Lo3: They calculated the number of days between one rising of the star and the next as 365 days—a solar year. They divided this year into 12 months of 30 days each and added five days for holidays and feasting. This calendar was so accurate that it fell short of the true solar year by only six hours. Egyptians developed a system of written numbers for counting, adding, and subtracting. Egyptian medicine was also famous in the ancient world. Egyptian doctors knew how to check a person’s heart rate by feeling for a pulse in different parts of the body.

1) delta- Offered a area of green land for farming.
Narmer- Was believed to be the one that united Upper and Lower Egypt. He is significant because the uniting of Upper and Lower Egypt allowed for bigger advancements and growth. 
pharaoh- The importance of the pharaoh was that they were the ruler of Egypt they were also believed to be gods.
theocracy- Was important because it was Egypt's system of government in which priests rule in the name of God or a god.
pyramid- The significance of pyramids is they held the mummified pharaohs as a resting place for them and their treasures.
mummification- The importance of mummification is it was believed to help the pharaoh in the after life by embalming and drying the corpse to prevent it from decaying. The Egyptians believed this brought the physical body of the pharaoh into the after life.
hieroglyphic- Was the first advanced flexible writing system for Egyptians.
papyrus- Was the first version of paper
2) The most important achievements that is the calculation of days, months and years. This is important because if they did not invent this we would not have a sense of the time day or year.
3) Being surrounded by desert on both sides of Egypt helped benefit Egyptian development because it helped to protect the state against raids. This allowed Egyptians to build their civilization, temples, Pyramids, tombs ect. with minimal worry from an external threat or invasion. 
4) The Egyptians viewed the pharaoh as a living gods. They were thought to be as powerful as the gods of heavens.
5) The Egyptians mummified bodies because they believed that the physical body would be important in the next life.
